Death Cap
Amanita phalloides

Responsible for 90% of fatal mushroom poisonings worldwide. Looks like nothing special.
The Amanita phalloides is the master of the “unremarkable.” While the Fly Agaric uses bright colors to scream for attention, the Death Cap prefers a modest, greenish-yellow palette that looks suspiciously like several things you might want to put in a sauté pan. It is responsible for the vast majority of mushroom-related fatalities worldwide, not because it’s aggressive, but because it’s boring. It is the botanical equivalent of a generic-looking spy: efficient, quiet, and profoundly dangerous.
